Sara A. (Ries) Coleman, 76, previously of Great Falls and Billings, MT, suddenly passed away Sunday, November 20, 2016, at Orlando Regional Medical Center with her family at her side. She was a beautiful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 pm on Friday, December 2, 2016, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Clermont, Florida.

Sara was born on February 16, 1940 to Andrew and Margaret Ries in Winona, MN. At the age of 11, her family moved to Montague, MT. She graduated from Geraldine High School.

Sara was loved by all who knew her. She had a warm, friendly personality and happy attitude. She never met a stranger she didn’t befriend and loved her family dearly. She enjoyed dancing, reading, playing games, traveling with her husband, shopping with her daughter and attending her grandchildren’s events.

Sara was a devout Catholic who shared her faith with her family and friends. She dedicated her time and talents as a tertiary member for the Sisters of Providence in Great Falls.

Sara and her husband Sam also founded and operated the Emilie Center in Great Falls, a nonprofit organization that provides necessities to the less fortunate. Sara worked for over 20 years at the Billings Eye Clinic as well.

In October 2012, Sam and Sara relocated to Clermont, FL, to be closer to their children and grandchildren. Sara loved being in Florida so close to her family.

Sara is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Lyle Samuel Coleman of Clermont, FL; her daughter Suzanne & Michael Clousing of Douglasville, GA, with grandchildren Steffan & Laura Clousing, and Nichole & Ben Baker with great-grandsons Shem, Justus, Sake & Jones; her son Timothy & Michelle Coleman of Ocoee, FL, with grandchildren, Samantha, Ben, Grace, Drew & Elle; her sisters Carolyn Harper, Peggy Bryant and Debbie Bredeson and her brother Robert Ries.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Emilie Center, 1920 10th Ave. S., Great Falls, MT 59405.
