Mary Carolyn Mixner, who went by Carolyn, died May 4th at the age of 68. Carolyn was born to the late, Mary Francis Mixner, and, Albert John Lawrence Mixner on March 29, 1949. She is survived by her sister Jane Barry, and brother Albert Mixner (Alesia). Carolyn had 7 nephews, 3 nieces, 2 great nephews and 5 great nieces.

Carolyn was born in Lake Wales and grew up in Orlando, Fl. She graduated from Oak Ridge High School in 1967. She attended The University of South Florida, and University of Florida where she graduated...

Carolyn was born in Lake Wales and grew up in Orlando, Fl. She graduated from Oak Ridge High School in 1967. She attended The University of South Florida, and University of Florida where she graduated from with a degree in Math. She was a member of the Alpha Chi Omega Sorority.

After Teaching math for a year, Carolyn began working as a computer programmer. She began exploring different parts of the country. She thought the best way to see an area was to live there! She lived in Texas, California, Alabama, upstate New York, Massachusetts, Utah, and finally settling in South Portland, Maine, where she lived in 14 years and worked for Tyler Technologies. No matter where Carolyn lived she always came home to Orlando for Christmas.

Carolyn always had a fondness for cats. She had many over the years, including strays and ferals. While in Portland she became active in Friends of Feral Felines.

Carolyn enjoyed playing tennis and walking. She was a member of People's United Methodist Church in Maine.

Carolyn returned to Orlando in 2015. She kept in touch with friends from Portland while making new friends at Westminster Towers, where she lived. She also renewed friendships with high school friends in Orlando.
