Louella Marie West, our cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend was received into heaven on March 19, 2015. She is lovingly remembered and cherished by her husband of sixty-six years Bruce West, her children, Shyrl Thomas, Allen West, Sandra Peters (Tom), Mark West (Lisa) and two sisters, Wynette Huggins (Robert), Mary Alice Butler. Her legacy continues in twelve grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Marie dedicated her eighty-two years to honoring her Heavenly Father and encouraging her family and many friends. She was born to Clarence Eugene Dean and Olivia Stewart Dean in Walton County, Florida on January 10, 1933. She was the third child and is preceded in death by three siblings: Dorothy Campbell, Clarence Dean and Eddie Dean. Marie grew up in Ponce De Leon Springs and DeFuniak, Florida; played high school varsity basketball; married Bruce at age fifteen, and one year later she moved to the Orlando, Florida to begin her own family. Marie’s lifelong motivation was encouraging others. She worked as a teacher’s aide with special needs children, nurtured children as a foster parent. She was always active in her church, teaching women’s bible study and serving in many capacities; her love of God’s Word enabled her to encourage others along her journey. She loved singing, playing the guitar and caring for her family. A Celebration of Life Service for Marie will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Gotha, Florida. Her interment and a reception will follow
